Whistling in the dark...

There's only one thing that I know how to do well. And, I've often been told that you only can do what you know how to do well. And, that's be you. Be what you're like. Be like yourself. And, so I'm having a wonderful time but I'd rather be whistling in the dark. Whistling in the dark. Whistling in the dark. Whistling in the dark.........(They Might Be Giants!)

Happy Due Date to Sadie

So, Sadie was due today! June 22nd is what we were told, but she had other ideas. Being 3 and a half weeks early, Sadie is now 25 days old. For some reason, I tend to bake my kids quickly. I've never made it to my due date with any of them. Not that I'm complaining, mind you! Who wouldn't choose to skip the last weeks of pregnancy if they knew the baby would be just fine? Only a crazy person, I suspect.
Here's a fun picture of me going into the hospital. Don't I look happy??? Dani took this photo and I believe I was in the middle of telling her not to. But, I guess I'm glad she did so we have a chronical of the night. I actually was wheeled in. That's a first for me. My water hadn't broken yet, but I seriously couldn't walk. Fun stuff.

First post

Seems like we're the only people not blogging. So, in order to keep up with the rest of you, we're giving it a try!

So far our summer has been flying by! It's hard to believe we've already been out of school for over three weeks!!! Some highlights of the last month include: the Cure concert on May 23rd, the birth of baby #4 (Sadie Morann) on May 28th, swimming lessons, baseball-softball-kickball games, the purchase of a "new" motorcycle for Gary, and lots of playing, sleeping in, and relaxing! Ahhh, it's nice to be a teacher during June and July! :)
